UN Climate Change report launched in Vietnam A landmark UN report on the impacts of global warming was shared in Việt Nam on Wednesday. The study details the effects of climate change of 1.5 degrees Celsius over pre-industrial levels. The report has already been approved by 195 countries earlier this month in South Korea. Bến Tre gets $6.3m from Govt to fight landslides. The Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Bến Tre has received VNĐ140 billion (US$6.3 million) from the Government to repair two embankments to prevent landslides along rivers and upgrade another on the coast. Economy improves further Vietnam's economic growth momentum remains robust and is accompanied by broad macroeconomic stability. According to Taking Stock, the World Bank’s latest economic update for Vietnam, recent growth was driven by a cyclical increase in global demand as well as a recovery in investment from FDI and private sector, and an ongoing shift of labor away from agriculture into more productive manufacturing and service sectors. Cà Mau to expand seafood exports The southernmost province of Cà Mau will expand trade promotion activities in the second half of the year, with shrimp as its key export.
